The Fidélio cutlery collection is an update by the Christofle studio (1992) of one of the House's very first collections in the 19th century: the "baguette" collection. It is named after this Beethoven opera which expresses the tenderness of a young couple. Luxury, calm and voluptuousness, it could also have been inspired by the first lines of "The invitation to travel" by Charles Baudelaire.
