Flambeau bas Salammbô à décor de feuilles, réalisé dans les années 2000. Cette pièce est remarquable par son style Napoléon III. La profusion des motifs - des végétaux naturalistes et des godrons - couvrants la surface du flambeau en est une parfaite illustration. La maison Christofle connaît d’ailleurs un véritable élan sous le Second Empire (1852-1870), obtenant en 1855 le diplôme de fournisseur officiel de l’Empereur Napoléon III : il devient un orfèvre incontournable. Le nom de cette pièce Salammbô renvoie d’ailleurs directement au roman éponyme de Gustave Flaubert paru en 1862. Ce flambeau de style Napoléon III, est une pièce d’orfèvrerie célébrant la période phare des origines de la maison Christofle.

Maintenance
