Description
Two salverons depicting dogs: one seated and the other standing still, with two removable crystal salverons. These salverons were created by Christofle in 1931, in the purest Art Deco style. The extreme geometrisation of the animals' lines gives them an almost comic appearance.
In this respect, these two pieces are a nod to two famous dogs of the era: Ric and Rac, drawn by Pol Rab and the hero of a humoristic weekly from 1929 to 1944. Ric, the fox terrier, is notably famous for having inspired Hergé to create the character of Snowy, Tintin's faithful companion.
The pieces in the Christofle Vintage Collection are second-hand pieces selected and authenticated by Christofle. They are pieces in good condition and restored in our workshops in Yainville (Normandy)... More information

Maintenance
In order to preserve the beauty of your VINTAGE piece, we recommend that you maintain it with a Christofle product: the silver flash from time to time and the polishing gloves for regular maintenance. For maintenance with the plishing gloves: take off your jewelry and wipe the glove over the entire piece to restore its shine. For maintenance with the silver flash, refer to the product's instructions. Beforehand, be sure to remove the piece from its antioxidant pouch. This pouch is lined with antioxidant fabric to protect your piece from oxidation.
