My Creative Table by Et Dieu Créa

Elisa @etdieucrea

Elisa is a 43-year-old mother of 3. Thirteen years ago, she launched her blog Et Dieu Créa, a digital journal of family life, travels and the joy of life’s simple pleasures.

After living and working in Paris for the luxury industry for 20 years, she decided to relocate to the Basque coast and launch her second business venture, Maison Sauge. There she found the simpler and calmer life she was seeking.

For Christofle, this craft and vintage enthusiast shows us how to naturally dye a tablecloth.

On the table

This is an extremely simple DIY to make with your children. All you have to do is find an old tablecloth or even a beautiful sheet (cotton and linen being the ideal materials to work with). The idea is to refresh a fabric with stains, a little faded, to give it an interesting color.
Et Dieu Créa
Using red onion peels, bring them to boil in a large pot. When the water becomes red, plunge the cloth into it and let it simmer for an hour and a half.
Et Dieu Créa
Rinse, wash...and voila! I love this soft, faded color.
