This crystal decanter appears in the 1900 and 1909 catalogs of the Gallia collection. It draws inspiration from rock crystal ewers, which were highly prized during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The foliage motif on the metal parts is also inspired by Renaissance decorative styles.
