Concorde collection

With this cutlery case whose design is inspired by the Place de la Concorde, Christofle invites us to taste Parisian chic. Located a stone's throw from rue Royale which has housed the historic boutique of the Christofle house since the end of the 19th century, the Place de la Concorde is like a must. Paving the way for the National Assembly and the Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde is a famous place in the history of the French capital. It is also an emblematic place of fraternity for Parisians, as for all French people. In 2018, Christofle had the idea of being inspired by the oblong shape characteristic of the Place de la Concorde to create a cutlery case that fits easily into our daily lives.

For Concorde, the creation studio Christofle wanted an elegant design that combines heritage and modernity. With this in mind, he chose to combine the resistance of steel to heat and the softness of white oak wood, which is revealed when the case is opened. The cutlery specially designed for Concorde is a unique creation inspired in part by a piece from the Maison's heritage collection. In order to play with light and material, their milleraie pattern creates a very studied graphic alternation between gloss and matt.
