Description
This Saulieu gravy boat, part of the Christofle contemporain collection, was designed by Lino Sabattini for Christofle in 1964. Lino Sabattini was a self-taught goldsmith and designer from Correggio. In 1956, his creations were exhibited in Paris by Gio Ponti and attracted international attention. He went on to become Christofle's design director for seven years. Designed to separate the fattier, and therefore denser, part of the sauce from the "leaner" part, this vintage gravy boat
Christofle Vintage Collection pieces are second hand pieces selected and authenticated by Christofle. They are pieces in good condition and restored in our workshops in Yainville (Normandy)...
