This tureen, Contours Doucine, is a fine example of a Christofle model created around 1949. The tureen features the shell motif three times, one of the basic vocabulary of classical silversmithing. Here, the shell serves as both handle and grip. The result is a piece of noble elegance.

Maintenance

In order to preserve the beauty of your VINTAGE piece, we recommend that you maintain it with a Christofle product: the silver flash from time to time and the polishing gloves for regular maintenance. For maintenance with the polishing gloves: take off your jewelry and wipe the glove over the entire piece to restore its shine. For maintenance with the silver flash, refer to the product's instructions. Beforehand, be sure to remove the piece from its antioxidant pouch. This pouch is lined with antioxidant fabric to protect your piece from oxidation.
