Designed by the Christofle Studio, this MOOD from the Haute Orfèvrerie workshops is in perfect harmony with the current trend of ornamental decorative motifs, focusing on the material and its textures.
This exceptional piece is a limited edition, with only 30 pieces.
INSPIRATION
The motif is inspired by the Louis XVI style, and more particularly by its emblematic pine cone. This ornamental motif used since antiquity - usually as a button on the lids of silverware - is revealed in a subtle new way on the MOOD.
It is expressed through the technique of cross ruling, realized in chasing, highlighting the beauty of the material.
This new precious creation contains 24 pieces of sterling silver cutlery for 6 people, finely chiseled in the continuity of the motif of the case.
A sterling silver plate at the base of the cutlery highlights the pieces, like a mirror reflection.

Designed by the Christofle Studio, the MOOD Haute Orfèvrerie is in perfect harmony with the current trend of decorative ornamental motifs, focusing on the material and its textures.
Requiring more than a hundred hours of work, this work highlights Christofle's Haute-Orfèvrerie know-how: many fundamental steps are involved to create the MOOD Haute-Orfèvrerie.
The Shell
The shell is entirely handmade by our Master Goldsmiths and requires about 70 work hours.
From shaping, embossing, and chasing, to mounting and polishing, many steps are mandatory to create this collection piece.
The motif is expressed through the chasing which brings to light the beauty of the material.
The Cutlery
Combining elegance and excellence, this creation contains a delicate cutlery set of 24 pieces for 6 persons exclusively in solid silver.
The table forks, table spoons and teaspoons are made by die-cutting. Then, each piece is chiseled and polished. As for the table knives, the 2 shells are made by forging then assembled by our experts. Our Master Goldsmiths need 36 hours to handcraft these pieces.
The Dedicated Box
The MOOD in sterling silver has its own protective case, setting the scene for this exceptional piece. Made of satin black Valcromat and lined with black anti-oxidant fabric, it can be opened on the front and has specific drawers to store the cutlery.
The Hallmarks
The Haute Orfèvrerie pieces have 3 hallmarks. The State hallmark, or Guarantee, represents a head of Minerva. The hallmark of Master is specific to each silversmith. In 1853, the new hallmark registered by Christofle represents a bee with 3 stars framed by the letters "CC", for Charles Christofle, then "OC" for Orfèvrerie Christofle.
The chronological hallmark is inscribed in a diamond shape with the letter "A" for the 19th century, "B" for the 20th century and "C" for the 21st century. The numbers around the letter indicate the decade. This hallmark is only found on Haute Orfèvrerie pieces.
