MARLY
The collection
The Marly cutlery collection is a historic collection of the Maison. It was created in 1896 in tribute to the Château de Marly, one of the charming holiday resorts of Louis XIV. It was destroyed during the French Revolution and only the famous "Marly horses" remain today which can be seen on Champs Elysées.
DISCOVERThe design
Executed in the "Rocaille" style, Marly is chiseled with fine plant illustrations that seem to embrace the objects’ handles with deliberate grace and symmetry. The chiseling technique animates the cutlery giving the sense that at any moment, the plants may extend beyond the confines of the frame of the flatware and other objects.
