The silver plated dinner knife partially gilded in the Aria pattern has a steel blade to better resist wear and tear and to increase quality of slice. Ideal for salads and soft food. Designed in 1985 by Bernard Yot and named after a long operatic solo song, the Aria collection exemplifies the uncluttered lines of the post-modernist style popular in the 1980s.
Having become famous, Maison Christofle was solicited by foreign sovereigns such as Emperor Maximilian of Mexico, the Tsar of Russia, Germany of the Kaiser, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Sultan Abdulaziz of the Ottoman Empire.
