Hidden Treasures
250 Years of Franco-American Luxury Stories

Hidden Treasures: 250 Years of Franco-American Luxury Stories arrives in New York City to celebrate 250 years of cultural exchange between France and the United States.
Hosted at The Shed from May 26th to 31st, 2026, the exhibition brings together 65 iconic French maisons, including Christofle, through immersive storytelling and craftsmanship.
A CELEBRATION THROUGH HISTORY

The Hidden Treasures exhibit explores how French luxury and craftsmanship have shaped artistic, cultural, and diplomatic connections with the United States over the past 250 years.
The exhibition creates a dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation, bringing together over 65 iconic French maisons and cultural institutions to showcase archival treasures, contemporary creations, and storytelling experiences that highlight the lasting influence of French savoir-faire on American culture and lifestyle.

By participating, the maison highlights its enduring role in shaping the art of luxury dining and transatlantic hospitality through a curated presentation inspired by the legendary Normandie ocean liner, for which the Maison created nearly 45,000 silver-plated pieces in 1935.
At the exhibition, The Art of Silver at Sea will present: a curated showcase of historic silver-plated pieces created for the legendary ocean liner Normandie, featuring a champagne bucket, vegetable dish, and cloche with platter from the Conservatoire Bouilhet-Christofle Collection.

In Our New York Boutique
Extending beyond the exhibition, Christofle will bring this universe to life through dedicated installations at the Madison Avenue location.
Inspired by maritime heritage and timeless art de vivre, the boutique will feature a selection of vintage pieces available for purchase that were once on board transatlantic ocean liners such as the Normandie.

This toothpick holder is inspired by Art Deco lines with its simple shapes and subtle geometric decoration.
This milk jug is part of a Transat tea and coffee set designed for the transatlantic liner Normandie. It is decorated with the logo of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique,
which operated the ship from 1935 onwards. With its clean lines, this very understated piece embodies the Art Deco style.
These silvered glass-coasters from the Contours model are delicately engraved with the name of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique,
a famous shipping company that operated many prestigious ocean liners throughout the 19th and 20th century.
