Cyber incidents: Christofle encourages its customers to remain vigilant.
Christofle has recently experienced a cybersecurity incident involving fraudulent encryption of some servers hosting corporate and financial information.
Our teams, supported by global cybersecurity experts, took immediate actions to isolate the systems impacted and secure the environment and conducted an investigation. The relevant authorities have been informed where required.
The results of these investigations indicate that the incident has involved files containing contact details, namely:
• name and surname;
• postal address;
• email address; or
• telephone number.
No passwords, authentication credentials, payment card information or online banking access data were involved in this incident.
As a precaution further to any security incident, we nevertheless recommend to remain attentive to any unusual communications, even if it appears to come from a known contact. In particular:
• Being cautious with unexpected emails, calls or messages requesting personal or financial information;
• Not clicking on links or open attachments from unknown or suspicious sources;
• Verifying sensitive requests by contacting the organisation concerned using official contact details you already know.
For individuals whose personal data may have been affected beyond these contact details, a dedicated individual notification has been sent directly.
Christofle remains committed to data protection as a top priority. We will continue to cooperate with relevant authorities.
