During the reign of Louis XIV, Colbert, General Controller of Finances, decided to better control the production of gold and silverware. To this end, he created the Fermiers Généraux, a group of people responsible for checking objects and stamping them with different hallmarks according to city and year. These are the hallmarks found on these coasters, which can be used as a guide to decoding and identifying.

For maintenance with the silver flash, refer to the product's instructions. Beforehand, be sure to remove the piece from its antioxidant pouch. This pouch is lined with antioxidant fabric to protect your piece from oxidation.
