Christofle has chosen to show an elephant which comes from Asia, the “Elephas Maximus”, formerly named “Indian Elephant”. With a modest size, it is often recognizable thanks to its small ears and the two prominent bumps on the skull. The Asian Elephant is represented here with a firm step, entirely cast in sterling silver. Its patinaed finish outlines the dry and fragile skin of the animal.
