Steps to Saber Like a Pro
- Chill the Bottle: Ensure the champagne is well-chilled, as this reduces internal pressure and makes for a cleaner saber.
- Remove the Foil and Cage: This allows a clean strike on the neck.
- Find the Seam: Hold the bottle at a 30–45° angle and locate the seam along the bottle where it meets the lip
. - Strike with Confidence: Using the saber, slide it smoothly along the seam toward the lip, creating a clean break.
