Created in 1897, the Marly collection is distinguished by its finely chased Rocaille decoration, inspired by the Château de Marly of Louis XIV and defined by scrolling foliage and shell motifs emblematic of French decorative arts and Christofle’s silversmithing expertise.
Marly is one of the most elaborately decorated patterns of the collection; the fine chasing of its asymmetrical plant motifs, typical of the “Rocaille” or Louis XV style, highlight the silversmith’s expertise and attention to detail.
