Among Christofle’s most sought-after creations, one collection stands apart for its exceptional craftsmanship, remarkable beauty, and rare character: the Lionskin collection, designed in 1867 by Charles Rossigneux, architect and decorator to Prince Louis-Napoléon.
Paying tribute to this marvellous collection and Christofle's legacy, the Art Recherche Industrie agency and the silversmithery revisited the table services and cutlery of the time to create a bold jewellery collection composed of fourteen items, entitled "Patte de Lion".
The name is a reference to the Nemean Lion, a legendary creature from Greek mythology. Slaying the lion and bringing back its skin was the first of Héraclès' Twelve Labours.
The Nemean Lion's impenetrable fur and skin made it an invincible beast, with razor-sharp claws capable of piercing any armour. Héraclès was able to slay the
creature through subterfuge and claim its skin, which he used in place of armour. The pelt became one of Héraclès' legendary attributes.
Inspired by this tale, the Patte de Lion collection consists of twelve solid silver pieces – a pendant, earrings, a cuff, a necklace and rings
in three models: an open ring, a cuff ring and a cross ring.
These unisex rings bring a bold rock-inspired touch to any silhouette. Available in gold and sterling silver, they can be worn effortlessly from everyday moments to special occasions.
A true statement piece, this cuff stands out through its bold and contemporary design. Worn alone, it brings a refined and confident touch to everyday silhouettes, while layered with other pieces, it creates a more daring and expressive look.
Designed to complement every style, these earrings pair effortlessly with other Christofle jewelry to create a refined and harmonious silhouette. Worn alone for a subtle touch of elegance or styled with matching pieces for a more elevated look, they bring the perfect finishing touch to any occasion.
The necklaces reinterpret the iconic Patte de Lion motif through two distinctive designs — one bold and sculptural, the other adorned with the signature Patte de Lion charm.
Conceived as statement pieces, they elevate special occasions with elegance and character while making meaningful and timeless gifts.
