This silver-plated dessert fork, part of the Marly collection, is ideal for enjoying starters, salads, or desserts and is placed above the plate or to the right of the plate, next to the dinner knife.
Created in 1897, the Marly collection is one of Christofle’s most richly ornamented designs, inspired by the Château de Marly of Louis XIV, and distinguished by its finely chased Rocaille decoration featuring flowing foliage and shell motifs.
Marly is one of the most elaborately decorated patterns of the collection; the fine chasing of its asymmetrical plant motifs, typical of the “Rocaille” or Louis XV style, highlight the silversmith’s expertise and attention to detail.
