Round Gravy Boat with threaded rim created by Christofle in 1950 to accompany the finest tables of the Trentes Glorieuses!
The Gravy Boat is an essential part of the French table service that became widespread in the 18th century, when a new cooking style emerged, giving rise to more complex results, with more nuanced blends of flavors. With this evolution in gastronomy, under King Louis XV, who had a delicate palate, table service evolved towards greater comfort, in the service of gourmandise.

Maintenance
In order to preserve the beauty of your VINTAGE piece, we recommend that you maintain it with a Christofle product: the silver flash from time to time and the polishing gloves for regular maintenance. For maintenance with the plishing gloves: take off your jewelry and wipe the glove over the entire piece to restore its shine. For maintenance with the silver flash, refer to the product's instructions. Beforehand, be sure to remove the piece from its antioxidant pouch. This pouch is lined with antioxidant fabric to protect your piece from oxidation.
