Description
The stainless steel L’Ame de Christofle dessert knife can be paired with a dessert spoon and fork to be used with desserts, salads or starters. Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet, who came up under design savant Philippe Starck and notably co-created several pieces with him, pushes stainless steel to new heights of contemporary chic with his L’Ame de Christofle collection. The line’s 17 items are eye-catching with their tapered handles, voluptuous curves and polished sheen, but Quitllet also demands ease of use from flatware. These basics reflect needs of daily eating around the globe as well as nod to the artist’s personal world of coffee on Barcelona patios, tapas gatherings and sweet post-siesta treats with his addition of an espresso stirrer, ice cream spoon and a palillo (a tapas pick).
