Sterling silver Long Tie Necklace Belt from the Pompon collection. This collection honors a motif that has a special place in the history of costume, decoration and, more broadly, the decorative arts: the pompon. They are created on a byzantine chain, also called royal mesh or Peruvian mesh, "Birdcage" or "Dilemma of the Fool" depending on the continent and the time. This flexible chain consists of a geometric tangle of rings strung together in a precise and complex pattern. The ends of the Byzantine chains are adorned with graceful tassels themselves made of fine Venetian chains. The large Pompon necklace can be worn in several ways: wrapped around the neck, tied in a tie, and even belted around the waist, adapt it to your desires and your clothes. The byzantine chain offers a pattern that is both very elegant and feminine but also strong and capable of great flexibility. This sterling silver design is also highlighted in its 18K gold-plated version.

The Christofle company has created a collection of jewelry based on this particular motif. This object of trimmings has been found throughout the centuries adorning the most luxurious garments or the most beautiful pieces of historical furniture, sometimes shining with gold or silver threads.
