Our Boutiques

Champagne is more than just a drink; it’s a symbol of celebration, luxury, and special moments. Whether you're marking an achievement or simply indulging in a moment of joy, the experience of savoring champagne is as much about the ritual as it is about the bubbles in your glass.

With Christofle’s exquisite collection of tableware and barware accessories, you can elevate every sip, turning the act of enjoying this iconic drink into a refined celebration. With our helpful tips, here’s how to savor champagne with Christofle.

THE ART OF OPENING THE BOTTLE

Popping a bottle of champagne is more than a gesture: it marks the beginning of a celebration.

Whether you prefer the drama of sabering or the classic pop of the cork, opening champagne with finesse enhances the experience.

Discover the right steps to correctly pop the bottle and complete the ritual with refined champagne accessories, from elegant ice buckets to champagne glasses designed to elevate every tasting moment.

 Step 1: Prepare the Bottle
Serve champagne between 45°F and 50°F (7°C to 10°C). Chill the bottle in an ice bucket for about 20 minutes to preserve its freshness and effervescence.

Step 2: Remove the Foil and Wire Cage
Remove the foil, then carefully loosen the wire cage while keeping your thumb on the cork to prevent it from releasing too quickly.

Step 3: Hold the Bottle at an Angle
Tilt the bottle at a 45-degree angle away from yourself and others for a smooth, controlled release.

Step 4: Twist, Don’t Pull
Hold the cork steady and gently twist the bottle, not the cork. The cork should release with a soft sigh, preserving the champagne’s delicate bubbles.
